Fortress Forever is a mod for Valve's source engine. Unlike Team Fortress Classic, or Team Fortress 2, this mod was not developed by Valve, but by a group of enthusiasts. In fact Team Fortress 2 wasn't even in the picture when this mod was being created, the developers hoped to bring TFC into the Source Engine. The models and game play mirrors that of TFC. Basically is two teams, red and blue, fighting for an objective in a map. This can be capture the flag, flag control, escort and point control. You can chose one of 9 different classes, each with different weapons, strengths and weaknesses. The main issue with this mod is Team Fortress 2, the games were released at the same time and a lot of people went for Team Fortress 2. The advantages Fortress Forever has over TF2 is that its free, and it mirrors TFC. Some people didn't liked the graphics or the slight changes of TF2. So they stuck with Fortress Forever. Overall it is a good game and if you didn't liked TF2 but you did liked TFC, then this is the graphical update you need.
